What is the main difference between CO2 gas fracturing and traditional explosive blasting?

CO2 gas fracturing uses high-pressure carbon dioxide to break rock without explosives. It eliminates shock waves, vibrations, and flying debris, making it much safer for underground and urban environments. It’s also environmentally friendly with no harmful chemicals and significantly reduces noise pollution.

Which product should I choose for my specific application?

The choice depends on your rock type, project scale, and site conditions:

  • CO2 Gas Fracturing System: Best for large-scale mining, tunnel construction, and projects requiring controlled fragmentation with minimal vibration

What rock types can your equipment handle?

Our systems effectively break a wide range of rock types including granite, basalt, limestone, marble, sandstone, quartz, and reinforced concrete. The effectiveness depends on rock hardness (Mohs scale 3-9), fracture structure, and selecting the appropriate model.

How much rock can be broken per day with your equipment?

Production rates vary significantly based on rock hardness, drilling depth, and operator efficiency:

  • CO2 System: 50-150 m³ per hole, 10-30 holes per day = 500-4,500 m³/day
  • Hydraulic Splitter: 0.3-2 m³ per split, 100-300 splits per day = 30-600 m³/day
  • Drill-Split Machine: 100-400 splits per day = 30-800 m³/day

What safety certifications do your products have?

All our products are ISO 9001:2015 certified and comply with international safety standards including CE (European), IEC, and local regulations. Is CO2 gas fracturing environmentally friendly?

Yes, absolutely. CO2 fracturing uses food-grade carbon dioxide that is non-toxic and naturally present in the atmosphere. The gas expands and then dissipates without leaving any chemical residues. It produces no harmful gases, no dust pollution, and significantly reduces noise compared to traditional blasting. The carbon footprint is minimal as CO2 is recycled in many applications.

Are there any special permits or licenses required to use your equipment?

Requirements vary by country and region:

  • CO2 Systems: Generally require fewer permits than explosives, as CO2 is not classified as explosive material. However, high-pressure vessel regulations may apply.
  • Hydraulic Systems: Typically no special permits needed, only standard construction equipment regulations.
  • Local Laws: Always check with local authorities regarding mining permits, construction permits, and high-pressure equipment regulations.

How safe is the CO2 gas cylinder? What happens if it ruptures?

Our CO2 cylinders are manufactured from high-strength alloy steel rated for pressures up to 60MPa. Each cylinder is equipped with multiple safety mechanisms including rupture discs, pressure relief valves, and pressure gauges. The cylinders are tested to 1.5 times their rated pressure. In 15 years of operation with 1000+ systems in use, we have never had a cylinder rupture incident during normal operation.

  • Telegraphic Transfer (T/T): 30% deposit, 70% against copy of BL and inspection report
